Missions Flown

Anglia One is called out approximately 4 - 5 times a day.  After the call goes out, on occasions they are stood down for reasons such as a land ambulance being nearer  to an accident, arrives first on the scene, assesses the situation and that the air ambulance could be better utilised elsewhere.  Not all attendances to accidents by Anglia One results in a patient being air-lifted.  With the speed of the air ambulance to the accident, they can arrive before the land ambulance, assess and stabilise patients, work with the land crew when they arrive and then establish whether anybody needs to be air-lifted.  The speed of the helicopter to the accident is paramount and we work alongside the land ambulances at all times.

It is impossible to list all the calls Anglia One attends, but we will try to give you brief information as and when incidents happen. Patient confidentiality is extremely important and no further details can be supplied on any of the incidents we list.
